After you make your purchase, that business or individual will need to know which Federal Firearms License (FFL) the firearm will be transferred to. It is crucial to provide accurate and detailed information to ensure a smooth and legal transfer process.
We kindly request that you inform them the firearm will be transferred to WTW Arms. To facilitate the shipping process, the sending FFL will need a copy of our FFL. This can be easily obtained by emailing us at sales@wtwarms.com or reaching via our contact page. We strive to respond promptly to all inquiries and requests. When sending the email, please ensure to include a copy of the sender’s FFL, indicate the specific item being shipped, as well as providing details about the buyer.
- For firearms, a copy of the sender’s FFL must be included with the firearm being shipped. The full name and contact information of the individual the firearm(s) are intended for must be included as well.
- If the sender is an individual without an FFL (e.g., private sale like Gunbroker, etc.), they must include a copy of their Driver’s License with the shipment. If there is no FFL or no Driver’s License, we will not transfer your firearm until we have it.
- Make sure you get tracking information from the sender and also provide us with the same. This way we know when to expect it, and you will know when it is received by us.
- After your item has been delivered to us, we will provide notification. This notification could take up to 24 hours. Please contact us to arrange completion of state and federal paperwork to complete the transfer
Items not picked up after 15 days of notification are subject to a storage fee. The fee is $15 per week. 60 days after notification, items are considered abandoned and become property of WTW Arms.
How do I transfer a firearm I sold out of state or want to ship to someone out of state?
On outgoing FFL transfers there is a fee of $30.00, per firearm, additionally you will be responsible for all shipping costs.
- The receiving dealer will need to provide us a copy of their FFL and can email it to sales@wtwarms.com or reaching via our contact page. During the shipment we will provide a copy of our FFL and mark the package with your name as the recipient.
- The receiving dealer will arrange the transfer to your buyer / recipient.
- We will need the name and phone number of the person receiving the firearm to include with the paperwork for the receiving dealer.
- You are responsible for any FFL transfer fees charged by the receiving FFL and/or state. You are also responsible for confirming local laws at the receiving location.
Please ensure that ANY item(s) you are receiving is/are legal in the state of Connecticut, as we will not transfer any item(s) that do not meet Connecticut guidelines. It is important to comply with the local regulations to ensure a smooth and legal transaction.
